This New PoE2 Build Turns Half-HP Enemies Into Instant Loot Explosions
When Grinding Gear Games nerfed Gravebind gloves, many POE 2 Currency players assumed rarity bots were finished. The build's core mechanic appeared dead, and most farming groups expected Item Rarity support characters to disappear from the meta. Surprisingly, the opposite happened. Creative players discovered a new setup that not only preserves over 500% Item Rarity but also provides a massive damage boost through extreme Culling Strike scaling. The result is one of the strongest currency-farming builds currently available, capable of clearing maps faster and generating huge amounts of loot.
The End of the Old Rarity Bot
Before the nerf, rarity bots relied heavily on Gravebind interactions to guarantee kill attribution while stacking as much Item Rarity as possible. The strategy was simple: allow the rarity character to secure kills and maximize loot drops for the party.
Once Gravebind lost its effectiveness, many players believed the archetype was no longer viable. Without reliable kill sharing, maintaining efficient rarity farming became much harder.
Instead of trying to recreate the old system, players found a completely different solution built around one powerful mechanic: Culling Strike Threshold.
How Culling Strike Becomes a Damage Multiplier
Normally, Culling Strike instantly kills enemies when they reach a small percentage of remaining life. Increasing the Culling Strike Threshold raises the health percentage at which enemies are executed.
For example:
Standard Culling Strike activates at low health.
Increased Threshold allows enemies to die much earlier.
At very high values, monsters can be executed while still having over half their life remaining.
Rather than serving as a simple finishing mechanic, Culling Strike effectively becomes a huge source of damage. The higher the threshold, the less actual damage your party needs to deal.
Core Items That Make the Build Work
The setup revolves around two essential unique items.
Meginord's Visage
This helmet provides a massive boost to Culling Strike Threshold and acts as the foundation of the entire build. Without it, reaching the required breakpoints becomes extremely difficult.
Death's Blow
These gloves grant permanent Culling Strike, ensuring enemies can always be executed once they reach the required threshold.
Together, these items create the baseline version of the build and allow players to start farming effectively on a relatively modest budget.
Passive Tree Scaling Pushes It Further
Several passive tree investments dramatically improve performance.
Important sources include:
Bounty Hunter cluster
Hunting Companion anointment
Heart of the Well jewel
Call the Hordes notable
Combined with the helmet, these bonuses push the build to approximately:
225% Culling Strike Threshold against rares and uniques
185% against normal enemies
This leads to a crucial breakpoint.
The 186% Breakpoint
One of the most important goals is reaching roughly 186% Threshold.
Once achieved, normal monsters can effectively be executed at full life. Most trash enemies die the moment they are touched by your skill, creating incredibly fast clear speed.
A small corruption on the helmet is often enough to push players past this breakpoint, making it one of the most valuable upgrades for the build.
The Luxury Upgrade: Horror's Flight
While the basic version is already powerful, the true endgame setup revolves around transferring permanent Culling Strike from Death's Blow onto another pair of gloves using an Elder's Legacy Brew.
The target is Horror's Flight.
These gloves provide the Fear Incarnate effect, which grants additional Culling Strike Threshold whenever enemies are killed.
At maximum stacks, Fear Incarnate can provide up to 200% additional Threshold.
This raises the build to an incredible:
425% Increased Culling Strike Threshold
Why 425% Threshold Is So Powerful
At this level, rare monsters can be executed at roughly 53% life.
Instead of dealing an enemy's full health pool, your party only needs to remove about half before Culling Strike instantly finishes the job.
The benefits are enormous:
Faster rare monster kills
Improved boss damage
Better party clear speed
Increased farming efficiency
More loot per hour
Unlike older rarity bots that mainly existed to boost drops, this version actively contributes significant offensive value to the group.
Budget-Friendly Alternatives
Players don't need the expensive Horror's Flight version immediately.
Option 1: Stay With Death's Blow
Simply continue using the original gloves.
You lose the massive Fear Incarnate scaling but retain excellent farming performance at a fraction of the cost.
Option 2: Horror's Flight + Culling Strike Support
Another affordable alternative uses:
Horror's Flight gloves
Culling Strike II Support
This setup still benefits from Fear Incarnate while adding another 20% Threshold through support gems.
Although only rares and uniques can be culled efficiently, those enemies are responsible for most valuable loot drops anyway.
Maintaining 500%+ Item Rarity
Despite the new focus on Culling Strike, the build remains a true rarity bot.
Triple Andvarius Setup
The Ritualist ascendancy allows players to equip three Andvarius rings.
These remain among the strongest Item Rarity sources available and form the backbone of the build's loot generation.
Ingenuity Belt
An Ingenuity belt amplifies the bonuses from the rings and helps push Item Rarity beyond 500%.
The downside is that it also increases Andvarius' resistance penalties, creating major gearing challenges.
Solving Resistance Issues
To compensate for severe resistance losses, the build relies heavily on jewels.
Grand Spectrum Jewels
Multiple Grand Spectrum jewels with resistance corruptions provide large amounts of defensive stats while helping cap resistances.
Rare Jewels
Remaining jewel sockets should prioritize:
Energy Shield
Resistance corruptions
Defensive utility
Since the passive tree invests heavily into jewel sockets, every jewel becomes an important part of the build.
Gearing Priorities
Outside of the mandatory uniques, gearing is fairly straightforward.
Focus on:
Energy Shield
Energy Shield serves as the primary defensive layer and should appear on most gear pieces.
Resistances
Resistance capping is mandatory due to the large penalties from Andvarius and Ingenuity.
Cast Speed
Cast Speed improves Spark coverage and overall mapping comfort.
More projectiles mean:
Faster culling
Better map coverage
More consistent clear speed
Why Spark Is the Perfect Skill
The build uses Spark as its primary skill because it fills the screen with projectiles and constantly tags enemies.
Typical support links include:
Seon's Temper
Valenta's Propulsion
Pierce III
Rapid Cast II
Prolonged Duration II
The sheer number of projectiles makes it easy to trigger Culling Strike across entire packs, turning maps into chain reactions of instant executions.
Endgame Optimizations
For players with large budgets, several upgrades can take the build even further.
The Adorned
The Adorned greatly increases the power of corrupted magic jewels, generating massive stat gains thanks to the build's heavy jewel investment.
Mageblood
Mageblood remains one of the strongest luxury upgrades available.
Combined with legacy utility flasks, it transforms the character into an extremely fast and efficient farming machine capable of clearing high-end content with ease.
Final Verdict
The Gravebind nerf may have killed the old rarity bot, but it also created an opportunity for something even stronger. By combining over 500% Item Rarity with massive Culling Strike Threshold scaling, this build delivers both exceptional loot generation and meaningful damage support, cheap Path of Exile 2 Currency.
The ability to instantly execute normal monsters and delete rares at over half their life creates a farming experience that feels incredibly rewarding. Maps clear quickly, loot explosions become constant, and party efficiency skyrockets.
For players looking to maximize currency generation in Path of Exile 2, this new rarity bot setup has firmly established itself as one of the strongest farming builds in the current meta.
Quick Tips
Reach the 186% Culling Threshold breakpoint as early as possible.
Start with Death's Blow before investing in Horror's Flight.
Prioritize resistance caps before stacking more rarity.
Invest heavily in jewel sockets and resistance corruptions.
Use Spark for the best screen-wide culling coverage.
Upgrade into Fear Incarnate scaling when your budget allows.
Consider Mageblood as the ultimate endgame luxury upgrade.
For dedicated currency farmers, the rarity bot isn't dead—it may be stronger than ever.
